Are we officially in Spring?

mjtaylor

Happy Friday everyone! If you thought the first day of Spring is March 1st, you are not necessarily wrong. Meteorologically speaking, the official first day of spring is March 1 (and the last is May 31). Our year is divided into quarters to make it easier to compare seasonal and monthly statistics from one year to the next.

Astronomically speaking, the first day of spring is marked by the spring equinox, which falls on March 20th this year. The equinox happens at the same moment worldwide, although our clock times reflect a different time zone. And, as mentioned above, this date only signals spring’s beginning in the Northern Hemisphere; it announces fall’s arrival in the Southern Hemisphere.

Many are still getting snow in their hometowns, including me (just last night), so it is hard to say Spring has "officially' begun...but boy am i trying.

I have re branded my Sunflower paper set and turned it into a kit by adding embellishments ephemera items and am now calling it "Shine Like a Sunflower" .

You will get 3 pages of elements to add to your cards, junk journals and more. I will have some process videos soon over on my YoutTube Channel, so be sure to subscribe and click on the bell so that you are notified of any new published videos.

For my first project, I created my signature passport card. I even added some of my new butterfly stickers which are new in the shop.

If you are a backstage pass holder, the new kit Shine like a Sunflower is ready for download over in the Theme bundles Section. You will be able to download this as well as archived kits for free for an entire year.

If you are not ready to commit to a full year membership, you can try it out on a monthly basis with the monthly pass. This will entitle you to all monthly releases, including this set.

And now for our weekly Freebie! Here is a vintage photograph from my personal collections. I was able to re create this image from some old negatives. I think it is just wonderful and is a perfect picture of a leisure day in the life.

If you are a site member, you can download this for free over in the membership section under the Freebie tab.

Happy Crafting!
